Customers don’t just want to know that you exist; they want to know what you sell and roughly what it costs. The Products & services store turns your BizGrid.lk profile into a simple online shop window, with photos, prices, offers and an “Order on WhatsApp” button on every item. It’s included with the Business and Premium packages.
Step 1: Open your store
Sign in and choose Products & services in your dashboard, or the tab of the same name on your listing’s edit page. If you’ve just upgraded, press Quick start: we create draft items from your speciality and keywords, filled with sensible default details, so you only have to add prices and photos. Drafts stay hidden until you press Show.
Step 2: Add your best sellers first
Choose Add product or Add service and fill in:
- Name: what customers call it, with the size or model if it matters (“Chocolate fudge cake (1 kg)”, “AC servicing, split unit”).
- Category: groups your items, and customers can filter by it (Cakes, Breads, Repairs).
- Short description: one line on the card, for example “Serves 10–12” or “Free pick-up in Colombo”.
- Full details: what’s included, delivery or pick-up, warranty, how long a service takes.
- Photos: up to 4, square photos in good light. The first photo is the one on the card.
Business includes up to 30 items and Premium up to 100. Start with the ten items people ask about most.
Step 3: Set prices honestly
Pick Fixed price, Starting from (useful for services that vary) or Price on request. Add a unit (“per kg”, “per hour”). To show an offer, enter the old price: it appears crossed out with the discount percentage. Keep prices up to date; customers screenshot them.
Step 4: Mark availability and featured items
Set each item as Available, Out of stock, Pre-order or By appointment. Tap the star to feature an item: featured items appear first with a label. Use the eye button to hide an item for a while without deleting it.
How customers order
BizGrid.lk doesn’t take payments. On your profile, customers can press Order, which opens WhatsApp with a message naming the item and price, or Ask about this, which fills in your enquiry form. You agree payment and delivery with them directly, just as you would over the phone.
Reviews on your products
Signed-in customers can review each product and service. Ratings appear as stars on the item card and in its details window, which helps new customers choose. You can read every product review under Reviews in your dashboard and reply to them. Product reviews don’t change your business’s overall rating.
Tips that sell
- Photograph products on a plain background in daylight; show the actual item, not a stock image.
- Answer the next question in the description: delivery areas, how long it takes, what’s not included.
- Keep the store tidy: hide seasonal items out of season rather than leaving them “Out of stock”.
